The group of independent accounting and auditing firms Audecia – Chartered Accountants and Auditors organized a webinar on the theme "The new status of the sole proprietor"
The law promoting independent professional activity of February 14, 2022, creates a new status for sole proprietors, while also addressing its potential insolvency. Consequently, the law inserts new provisions applicable to sole proprietors into Book VI of the Commercial Code. This new status, in effect since May 15, 2022, differs from the EIRL (Individual Limited Liability Enterprise) in that it does not require a declaration of asset allocation. The separation between business and personal assets is automatic. This new status results in the abolition of the EIRL regime.
