Principle : employee travel outside their home is prohibited
Exceptions : the employee's business trips are authorized in the following cases
- Home-to-work journeys and business trips if these cannot be postponed;
- Purchases necessary for professional activity/purchases of basic necessities in establishments whose activities remain authorized (namely food businesses, maintenance and repair of vehicles, medical items , computer and communication equipment, financial and insurance activities , etc.) .
Terms
Be in possession :
- A derogatory travel certificate to be established by the employee on the model provided by the public authorities;
- A certificate from the employer:
– Which indicates that the employee is authorized to travel from his home to his place of work for professional reasons;
– That the said employee cannot exercise his function within the framework of a telework system.
Penalty:
In the event of violation of travel restrictions: fine of €38, which can “very quickly” be increased to €135 according to the Minister of the Interior.
Recommendations for companies
- Provide the employees concerned with a k-bis extract from the company or a delegation of authority from the signatory of the employer certificate;
- Invite employees to have proof of address in their possession.
